His and Her Hair Designers is located in the Lake Aire Center, at 20^th and Oregon Streets. We are a family owned/operated "Barber Shop" founded by Terry Gintner in 1967. In 1973 Terry brought in his wife Carol as an apprentice barber, and together, reformed the old-time barbershop into a place where modern hairstyling would be done for men and women.

In 1983 their daughter Vicki joined them as a licensed beautician, completed her barber training two years later, and obtained her Master Barber license in 1987.

Our shop's cozy atmosphere caters to families which is very unique, especially in today's day and age. We have a multi-generational business where a mom or dad started out as a customer of Terry’s or Carol’s,  and then their kids came along, and now, their grandkids. This is what our shop is all about, family and tradition.

We pride ourselves on customer service. We want each person that allows us to work on their hair to know that they are important. So we talk with them… the art of conversation is not dead in our shop!

Our staff is fully trained in hair cutting for both men and women, coloring, highlighting, perming, as well as other services. We also carry Matrix, Sebastian, Paul Mitchell, I.C.E., and Nioxin hair products.

We welcome new customers, but ask that you call for an appointment. 

Walk-ins are welcome, but sometimes we are unable to accommodate them.

Our hours of operation vary, but we do have an answering machine that is always on, so if you cannot reach us, please, leave a message, and your call will be returned as soon as we are able to do so.
